Our ability to speak our truth, and listen effectively to others, is the foundation of our successful lives as human beings.

Effective Conversation Training

1Communication is the life-blood of every organization and family.

Nothing new ever happens without the ability to have an effective conversation with another person. That's why broken communication results in chaos or ill will or disrupted roadmaps…and why it can be so painful to experience.

Effective Conversation can be learned. We offer training in a variety of formats, all designed to help you and your staff learn how to communicate in a way that causes good results rather than breakdowns.

It's a mystery why these skills are not more routinely taught to everyone. Effective Conversation is fundamentally simple and innate; and it makes fundamental improvements in how people operate and get things done.

WHO BENEFITS

This series of trainings improves the kind of communication skills everyone needs in order to have an effective conversation; in other words, learning how to speak for results. While everyone will benefit, the trainings are highly recommended for leaders, supervisors, managers and sales staff who interact with many kinds of people on a daily basis.

STRUCTURE

This is a modular system of half-day, whole day or "brown bag lunch" trainings for busy people. They are usually held in your offices unless you wish to schedule weekend retreat-style trainings. These are interactive and experiential workshops with a focus on practicing new skills using real world situations.

Introductory Conversation How will you know that this training will benefit your staff and serve your profit, performance and morale bottom lines? An Introductory Conversation helps you define your problems, assess your situation and determine if this service fits, so you can proceed with confidence that your goals are being supported.

Common Agreement What can be agreed on? This training teaches how to listen and then feed back what was heard. It is the foundational step in Effective Conversation and assures that the one who listens and the one who is speaking build a platform of mutual understanding before moving forward.

Simplify the Context This is the crux of Effective Conversation. When you can present a situation free of judgment or criticism, simply the facts within an appropriate context, and provide step by step points for clarification, you build shared understanding for everyone involved.

Agreement There is a way to ask for something to be done that dramatically improves the likelihood of a successful result. The clearer the request and reason for it, the more likely agreement and accountability will follow.

Conflict Management Rather than avoiding disagreement or hiding from the truth, everyone can learn a safe way to express their opinions, even frustration, so that resolution occurs. This training can include actual situations among teams or across departments. It will lead to a resolution.

Let's help everyone in your company learn how to have a real conversation, so they have the tools to work effectively together. It will save you time, money and bother. Call today for an introductory conversation. You will receive a proposal and a contract once we agree on what is needed. Training fees are due prior to commencement of the workshop or series.
